City Council Completes Security Improvement and Leak Elimination Works at Access Point to the Promenade from Arturo Rubinstein Street

The City Council has completed the works to improve security and eliminate leaks at the access point to the promenade from Arturo Rubinstein Street. The councilor, Diego López, has explained that the project involved installing three new drains connected to the drainage system, placing a waterproof membrane around the area, removing all the planters except one on the west side of the stairs that connect both roads, and repairing the marble tiles that were in poor condition. The councilor praised the action, stating that ‘in addition to increasing protection at one of the city’s busiest access points, it prevents dampness that was affecting the two premises located under the marble stairs, allowing them to be used again.’ ‘Furthermore, it helps beautify one of the main entrances to the promenade, a very popular space throughout the year,’ he added.
