Municipality activates Municipal Emergency Plan in pre-alert level due to orange weather warning for high temperatures

The Municipal government has activated the Municipal Emergency Plan at a pre-alert level following the orange weather warning for high temperatures issued by the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET). This measure involves implementing a set of preventive actions and coordination between various municipal departments with the aim of minimizing the risks associated with the heatwave and providing special attention to the most vulnerable groups. The Councilor for Citizen Security, José Eduardo Díaz, explained that the protocol includes immediate communication to the local areas involved to strengthen the care and monitoring of those who may be most affected by the high temperatures. ‘Our goal is to anticipate any incidents and coordinate all municipal resources to protect the population, especially those in situations of greater vulnerability,’ he noted.
