Local Government Advances in Approval of Fire Protection Plans
The local government has given a new boost to its forest fire prevention strategy by approving two new self-protection plans in especially sensitive areas. The municipal spokesperson, Félix Romero, announced this after the Local Government Board meeting, stating that the City Council has been working on a comprehensive project in this area for over six years. Romero highlighted the town’s condition as a green area and the involvement of property communities in conserving these spaces. Currently, 167 plans have been approved, with five more pending, aiming to reach a total of 174 processed documents before the end of summer.
