Juan Manuel de Prada opens ‘Dialogues’ cycle at Marpoética with his initiatory journey through Poe, Cervantes, Borges, and Proust
Writer Juan Manuel de Prada inaugurated the ‘Dialogues’ cycle of the ninth edition of Marpoética on Monday at the Hospital Real de la Misericordia, with an intimate exploration of the origin of his literary vocation. Titled ‘The Reader We Are’ and accompanied by literary director Javier Vicedo, the author traced a path through four decisive works: ‘Extraordinary Tales’ by Edgar Allan Poe; ‘Don Quixote’ by Miguel de Cervantes; ‘The Aleph’ by Jorge Luis Borges; and ‘In Search of Lost Time’ by Marcel Proust.
