City Strengthens Security Measures for Holy Week with 650 Local Police and Advanced Technology

The city will reinforce its security measures for Holy Week with 650 local police officers, 160 of them exclusively assigned to processions and 490 on regular duty, as well as advanced technological means. The operation will also include 400 surveillance cameras deployed throughout the municipal area, bodycams worn by the officers along the route, drones for image viewing, and geolocation systems to monitor the exact location of the thrones. The councilor in charge, José Eduardo Díaz, has emphasized that the main objective is to ensure the smooth progress of the processional parades, safeguard the safety of residents and visitors, and guarantee mobility and traffic control due to the expected high influx of people.
