Municipality Acquires New 4×4 Vehicle for Civil Protection Fleet Renewal

The Municipality has acquired a new 4×4 vehicle as a prototype for the progressive renewal of the Civil Protection fleet and is strengthening human and technological resources from the Citizen Security department to improve emergency response. The councilor, José Eduardo Díaz, stated the goal is to adapt to new operational needs arising from extreme weather events and operations in complex environments like mountains and flood-prone areas. Regarding the new off-road vehicle, he mentioned that its investment is around 30,000 euros and is specifically designed to meet the demands of the volunteer corps’ work. “Beyond the economic cost, what matters is that it meets the necessary conditions for daily service and emergency interventions,” he emphasized.
