City Council Triples Parking Capacity in West District with Nearly 400 New Spaces
The City Council has completed the third and final phase of the traffic reorganization project in the West District, an initiative that has increased around 400 new parking spaces, in some sections tripling the existing ones, thanks to the redistribution of angled and parallel parking. The director general of the department, Baldomero León, visited the site today alongside the district delegate, Alejandro González, and stated that this intervention ‘responds to a clear demand from residents that will optimize space and make traffic flow safer and more pleasant.’ He detailed that the works, carried out between 2024 and 2025, had a total investment of around 70,000 euros and included prior milling, horizontal painting, vertical signage, and a complete reorganization of the roads.
