Mayor presides over celebration of six couples’ golden wedding anniversaries

The mayor, Ángeles Muñoz, presided over the celebration of the golden wedding anniversaries of six couples at the Jaime Molina de Prado Active Participation Center yesterday afternoon, located in the Miraflores neighborhood. The mayor praised the board’s initiative to organize a ‘touching ceremony’ and emphasized during the event that it was a ‘beautiful experience’ for her to ‘remarry these couples 50 years later.’ ‘In some cases, they had been dating for up to 13 years, adding up to a lifetime together,’ Muñoz said, who was joined at the event by the Councilor for Social Rights, Isabel Cintado, and the center’s president, Mariana Chacón.
