Local Government Renews Support for Avance Positivo Association to Ensure Continuity of Public Health Programs

The local government has renewed its support for the Avance Positivo Association to ensure the continuity of its public health programs. The mayor, Ángeles Muñoz, and the president of the collective, José Luis Prada, have signed the collaboration agreement for 2025, with a grant of over 25,000 euros. The mayor highlighted the ‘altruistic and professional’ work carried out by the organization for HIV prevention, as well as other sexually transmitted infections (STIs), emphasizing the commitment of the team and volunteers who support patients and their families. ‘Although this disease has shifted from being fatal to chronic and treatable, it remains present and can have very serious consequences,’ she stated.
