Nueva Andalucía Fair Kicks Off with Lighting Ceremony and Emotional Speech
The Nueva Andalucía Fair started last night with the lighting ceremony of La Caridad fairground and the municipal booth, along with an emotional speech by María del Carmen Torres, known as Mayka, who reminisced about her ‘memories from the heart of a bell ringer’. She shared experiences from her childhood, youth, and paid a special tribute to her mother, who was once a popular festival queen. She also highlighted her time in the parish, where she was happy with gatherings, catechism, and living nativity scenes, as well as memories from her nursery and school.
