New public residence for the elderly in Trapiche de Prado to open in 2026

The mayor, Ángeles Muñoz, inspected the ongoing construction works of the future elderly care home in Trapiche del Prado alongside the regional minister for Social Inclusion, Youth, Families, and Equality, Loles López. The project is set to be completed by June, with the complex opening its doors in 2026, offering around a hundred spots. This initiative is considered a significant milestone for Marbella, as the city previously lacked such a public facility. The municipality took on this challenge using its own resources in collaboration with the Andalusian government, which contributed approximately 2.8 million euros. The mayor emphasized the crucial support from the regional government in successfully bringing this project to fruition within the designated timeline.
