New Polideportivo Project in Trapiche Norte to Feature Two Homologated 7-a-Side Soccer Fields

The City Council has initiated the process for the construction of the new Leonardo Terol sports complex in Trapiche Norte, a project that includes the establishment of two homologated 7-a-side soccer fields and a range of complementary facilities to enhance the municipal sports offering. The Works Councillor, Diego López, has announced that the Council has formalized the paperwork to access €1.8 million from the Treasury surplus of the Mancomunidad de Municipios de la Costa del Sol Occidental, funds that will be allocated to the development of this new infrastructure. The councillor highlighted that this initiative ‘will allow the recovery of a space that housed temporary classrooms of the Junta de Andalucía in recent years, which have now been relocated to the new Las Chapas institute’ and emphasized that ‘it represents an opportunity to enhance this area and transform it into a modern, functional facility tailored to the needs of families and athletes in the region’.
