New Accessibility Improvements in Divina Pastora Neighborhood

The City Council is finalizing a new project to enhance accessibility in the Divina Pastora neighborhood, which is already 90% complete and expected to finish in the coming days. The initiative includes removing architectural barriers, improving road safety, and creating two inline parking spaces. A key intervention is the construction of a new ramp on San Antonio Street to assist people with reduced mobility, eliminating existing steps between the sidewalk and the pedestrian crossing. The ramp is built according to regulations, with red tactile buttons and widened sidewalk to ease pedestrian traffic. Additionally, a pedestrian crossing will be relocated for better visibility and road safety in the area. The project involves curb installation, paving, railing installation, and tree planting. This effort aligns with the Council’s goal of transforming Marbella neighborhoods into more accessible, comfortable, and secure spaces to enhance citizens’ quality of life.
