Municipality to Celebrate European Week of Local Democracy with Diverse Program of Events

The Municipality will celebrate the European Week of Local Democracy with a wide range of events to bring local administration closer to residents and promote their involvement in public life. The activities, led by the Councilor for Citizen Participation, Enrique Rodríguez, will run until October 14 and are aimed at all audiences. This year’s initiative is particularly significant as it coincides with the 40th anniversary of the European Charter of Local Self-Government. The official poster for this edition features representatives from associations, local groups, youth organizations, and the Municipal Council for Children and Adolescents, all of whom have contributed voluntarily. Through this decision, the Municipality emphasizes the role of citizens in building local democracy and acknowledges the ‘great work’ they perform.
