Municipality Renews Agreement with DYA to Support Vulnerable Families in 2025

The Municipality will allocate 180,000 euros this year to renew the Food Guarantee program, signed by the mayor, Ángeles Muñoz, and the president of DYA, Francisco Mejías, to maintain an initiative that benefited more than 400 families through debit cards. The Councilor for Social Rights, Isabel Cintado, emphasized that the program, which started in 2020, has already received over 1.2 million euros in funding. She explained that these vouchers allow residents in vulnerable situations to shop for food and hygiene products at nearby supermarkets, easing the financial burden of running their households. Cintado praised DYA for its dedicated professionals and volunteers who provide close support to users.
