Municipality launches tender for new Home Help Service, investing 48 million euros and increasing monthly assistance hours to 39,000
The Municipality has launched a new tender for the Home Help Service (SAD) that will increase the number of monthly assistance hours from the current 26,000 to 39,000. Mayor Ángeles Muñoz announced that this will represent a qualitative and quantitative leap for a program aimed at improving the quality of life for seniors and dependent individuals in the municipality, helping to facilitate their daily lives and promote personal autonomy. Initially, around 1,100 users will be served, with a projected progressive growth. The latest tender was for 25.1 million euros, and the estimated value of this contract for the next three years plus a two-year extension amounts to 48.2 million euros, an unprecedented social investment in this area.
