Mayor highlights Andalusia’s commitment to forest defense in the inauguration of the new EMA Infoca Sierra de las Nieves base
The mayor, Ángeles Muñoz, has emphasized the commitment of the Andalusian government to forest defense at the inauguration of the facilities of the new EMA Infoca Sierra de las Nieves base located between Marbella and Istán. Equipped with 4,000 square meters of facilities and a helipad of 3,500 square meters, the base will have a helicopter, five fire engines, and the Infoca team ready to respond to any emergency, protecting not only the Sierra de las Nieves but also the Sierra Blanca, the Costa del Sol, and the region’s rich forests.
