Marbella’s Population Continues to Rise, Reaching 173,420 Registered Inhabitants in Early 2026

As of January 1, 2026, Marbella has reached a total of 173,420 registered residents, marking an increase of nearly 7,000 inhabitants compared to the previous year. This growth solidifies a sustained upward trend in recent years. Of this figure, 110,214 are Spanish citizens, with the remainder made up of residents from 155 different nationalities, reinforcing the cosmopolitan nature and attraction of the municipality. The municipal spokesperson, Félix Romero, emphasized that ‘this increase reflects the vitality, dynamism, and appeal of Marbella as a destination for living, investing, and pursuing personal and professional projects.’
