Marbella School Poetry Competition Breaks Record with Over 2,000 Student Participants

The Marbella School Poetry Competition has once again surpassed all records. Over 2,000 students aged 6 to 11 have participated with their poems in the fourth edition of this award organized by the City Council as part of the Marpoética festival. In front of a larger audience than ever before, the mayor, Ángeles Muñoz, accompanied by the Director General of Culture, Carmen Díaz, presented the awards to the winners this morning at a packed Teatro Ciudad de Marbella filled with enthusiasm. ‘Poetry in Marbella is more present than ever,’ noted the mayor, who, as every year, did not want to miss the meeting with these young creators. ‘Feel proud, with the desire to keep exploring. I give you advice: never stop writing, never stop expressing your feelings, that will make you much better people, it will make you freer,’ encouraged the mayor to the children present in the theater along with their teachers and families.
