Marbella removes over 1,460 tons of reeds from the coast after recent storms

The City Council has removed over 1,460 tons of reeds and plant debris from the coast as a result of the recent storms in the municipality. The councilor in charge, Diego López, explained that the meteorological instability has particularly affected beaches such as La Fontanilla, Casablanca, Nagüeles, El Alicate, and La Víbora, where there has been a significant loss of sand, as well as the appearance of cuts caused by drainage outlets and strong runoff from the rains. He also noted that almost the entire eastern coastline, from Adelfas-Los Monteros to Artola-Cabopino, has seen significant accumulations of debris and reeds washed up by the sea.
