Marbella Receives ‘Q 2026’ Award at FITUR for Commitment to Quality and Sustainable Tourism

The City Council received the ‘Q 2026’ Award last night from the Institute for Spanish Tourism Quality and Sustainability (ICTES), in recognition of its dedication to these areas. The award was accepted by the Councilor for Commerce, María José Figueira, and the General Director of the department, Laura de Arce, at the ceremony held during the International Tourism Fair of Madrid (FITUR). This distinction solidifies Marbella as a national benchmark, as it is the Spanish town with the most public certifications, boasting a total of 19 beaches with the Q for Quality and S for Sustainable Tourism, along with the Sierra Blanca Trails network, which has also received both distinctions. Furthermore, it holds the certification as a Smart Tourist Destination (DTI) endorsed with the Q for Tourism Quality.
