Marbella Ends Historic Year for Sports with Record Offerings and Investment

Marbella is closing a historic year for sports marked by a record of 8,000 spots offered for municipal activities, the hosting of 130 events, and an investment exceeding one million euros to support local clubs and athletes. The councilor in charge, Lisandro Vieytes, provided an annual management report today and highlighted that the data ‘reflect a sustained growth that positions the city as one of the major sports hubs in southern Europe.’ He pointed out that 2025 ‘has been a turning point both due to the magnitude of the hosted events and the community response.’ The municipality has solidified its position as a preferred venue for major events, with a calendar that brought together 45,000 participants and nearly 97,000 spectators throughout the year.
