Marbella City Council Gives Initial Approval to 2026 Municipal Budgets

The City Council has given initial approval to the municipal budgets for 2026 in an Extraordinary and Urgent Plenary session held this morning. The budgets are described as “serious, solvent, investment-oriented, and in line with the needs of Marbella” by Mayor Ángeles Muñoz. The municipality’s accounts for the upcoming year amount to 450 million euros, marking an increase of over 11% compared to 2025. They have received all favorable reports from the Economic Department and are notably focused on social aspects, with an 18% increase from the previous year, reaching 12 million euros to support the most vulnerable individuals and groups in the municipality.
