Marbella City Council and Hidralia Collaborate to Clean 80% of Scheduled Drains

Marbella City Council, in collaboration with Hidralia, has intensified the cleaning of drains and waterways, as well as their technical planning in preparation for potential precipitation episodes during the fall. The councilor, Diego López, highlighted that, as per the updated report, 21,391 out of the estimated 27,079 rain collectors for 2025 have already been cleaned, representing nearly 80% of the total planned, ‘meeting the set deadlines and ensuring drainage capacity at strategic points in the municipality.’ The councilor explained that the operation is structured into several intervention lines, including regular preventive sectoral cleaning, two annual extraordinary cleanings, and a specific intervention in the vicinity of educational centers.
