Local Police Seize Nearly a Thousand Allegedly Counterfeit Items at Nueva Andalucía Market

The Marbella Local Police have seized close to a thousand allegedly counterfeit items at the Nueva Andalucía market in an operation investigating five individuals for an alleged crime against industrial property. The incident took place last Saturday when the operation, consisting of eight officers from the Prevention Unit not in uniform, conducted surveillance following a complaint filed by a law firm from the Basque Country regarding the possible street sale of counterfeits at various stalls in the weekly market. The officers observed that five of the stalls were displaying allegedly fake products for sale and, after identifying themselves and the individuals engaged in the street vending, proceeded to inform them of their rights as suspects not arrested for allegedly committing a crime against industrial property and to confiscate the merchandise.
