Local Police Crack Down on Abandoned Vehicles and Solid Waste Violations
The Local Police are strengthening their control over abandoned vehicles in public areas, having towed 250 vehicles to the municipal impound lot so far this year. They have also issued 919 citations for violations related to solid urban waste and cleanliness, a significant increase from the 340 citations issued last year. The spokesperson and inspector of the municipal force, Miguel Ángel Benítez, emphasized that the goal is to enhance community harmony rather than impose penalties.
