Local Neighborhood Association Supports Small Businesses Through Christmas Raffle
The Las Albarizas Neighborhood Association has delivered its traditional Christmas basket, an initiative supported by the City Council’s Citizen Participation delegation that aims to encourage shopping at local stores. Councilor Enrique Rodríguez emphasized that ‘actions like this help to showcase and support small businesses, essential for life in our neighborhoods.’ The association’s president, Josefa Carrasco, mentioned that this year 1,000 raffle tickets were distributed among the area’s establishments, with the slogan ‘Shopping in your neighborhood has a reward.’ The winner was Maria Teresa Urbano, a customer of the Kon-Tiki stationery store, which distributed the winning ticket.
