Local Government Enhances Safety of the Cristo del Amor Bridge in Record Time

The local government has carried out a rapid intervention to reinforce the safety of the Cristo del Amor bridge, with work completed in less than 48 hours. The project involved replacing expansion joints at both ends of the structure, replacing the existing metal plate with a new one, and resurfacing part of the roadway. The Works Councillor, Diego López, emphasized the importance of this intervention to ensure the safety of an infrastructure used daily by thousands of vehicles and pedestrians. He also mentioned that upcoming work will focus on enhancing the bridge’s aesthetic appeal by installing decorative lighting, as it is one of the town’s most emblematic landmarks and deserves to be highlighted.
