Local Government Calls on Central Government for Accurate Population Count and Urgent Protocol for Removal of Heavy Vehicles on A7 Highway

The City Council has approved a motion in a plenary session held at the Trapiche de Guadaiza Cultural Center in San Pedro Alcántara, demanding that the central government update the official population figures of the municipality to reflect the actual population. They also seek the implementation of an urgent protocol for the removal of heavy vehicles stranded on the A-7 highway, which repeatedly causes traffic congestion. Councilor Enrique Rodríguez highlighted the continuous growth of Marbella, with the current population standing at 173,420 registered residents as of January 1, an increase of nearly 7,000 compared to the previous year.
