Local Collaboration Provides Natural Food to Vulnerable Families

The City Council, the Huertos Marbella Verde Association, and the Red Cross are collaborating on a solidarity initiative to supply natural foods to vulnerable families. The mayor, Ángeles Muñoz, supported the donation of harvested products to the NGO by a group of volunteers from the gardening community on a municipal plot in Huerta del Prado. This project originated from the Council’s donation of 28,000 square meters of land where nearly a hundred people grow their own crops. The mayor emphasized the importance of residents having the opportunity to produce their own food in the city center and the Council’s commitment to ‘zero-kilometer’ production.
