Improvement Works Enhance Accessibility and Pedestrian Mobility in Guadiamar Street, San Pedro Alcántara

The City Council is carrying out improvement works in Guadiamar Street, located in the Los Ángeles urbanization of San Pedro Alcántara, with the aim of strengthening pedestrian mobility and accessibility in the area. The deputy mayor of San Pedro, Javier García, visited the site today and explained that it is ‘a priority action in an area very close to the roundabout of Las Petunias and the Promenade’. The project includes widening the sidewalk from less than a meter in width to two meters, ensuring the safe passage of pedestrians. Additionally, accessible ramps will be installed at the crosswalks to facilitate access for people with disabilities or reduced mobility, and a new LED lighting system will be installed, ‘prioritizing safety and the quality of the urban environment’.
