Emergency Stabilization Work on Sierra Bermeja Street After Sidewalk Collapse

The City Council has begun emergency stabilization work on the roadway of Sierra Bermeja Street after part of its sidewalk collapsed. The councilor of the area, Diego López, explained that the work is being carried out in accordance with a report commissioned from a specialized company, as one of the many actions being undertaken throughout the municipality due to the effects of the DANA that Marbella suffered at the end of last year, with the main objective being the safety of residents. The councilor emphasized that the work is being carried out quickly and following the relevant technical criteria to prevent the situation from worsening and posing a danger to drivers and pedestrians. He added that the work was the result of the requested document when the problem was detected, which made it clear that it needed to be done urgently, thus avoiding the need for formal procedures to continue.
