Cultural Events of the Week

The municipality’s cultural agenda for the week includes a diverse lineup of events featuring history, literature, poetry, heritage, and music. Starting on Wednesday, March 11th, at 7:00 PM at the Hospital Real de la Misericordia, there will be a conference on ‘Biblical Tarshish and the Emporium City of Tartessos: The Protohistoric Site of Huelva’ presented by Fernando González de Canales, an academic from the Royal Academy of History. The talk will explore the mystery of Tartessos, its potential connection to Biblical Tarshish, and the archaeological discoveries at the Andalusian city site, revealing evidence of commercial networks and wealth during the Bronze Age. Admission is free until seating capacity is reached.
