Construction of San Pedro Alcántara Transport Interchange Progresses with Project Draft Awarded by Junta de Andalucía
The construction of the San Pedro Alcántara transport interchange is advancing with the award of the project draft by the Junta de Andalucía. Mayor Ángeles Muñoz has highlighted the regional government’s commitment to the municipality and emphasized that this facility will be very relevant in improving connectivity and mobility. The mayor recalled that the City Council transferred the lands in the area known as El Cielo de San Pedro to the regional administration, with good connections to the Autovía del Mediterráneo (A-7) and the Ronda road (A-397), as agreed with the Minister of Public Works, Rocío Díaz, through the signing of a collaboration agreement. Muñoz stated, “We considered it a strategic location to connect different Andalusian towns and cities,” adding that “the goal is to address a long-standing demand.”
