City Hall Implements New Technological System to Improve Citizen Service for the Hearing Impaired

The City Hall will implement a new technological system in six municipal offices to improve citizen service for the hearing impaired. The municipal spokesperson, Félix Romero, announced that in today’s Local Government Board meeting, this new measure was approved to promote inclusion. The installation of magnetic induction loops will allow conversation partners to directly connect with hearing aids, ‘eliminating background noise and facilitating clear and effective communication.’ The six devices will be installed in Citizen Service Offices in the districts, as well as in the Social Services delegation and the Local Police Headquarters, with a seventh unit reserved ‘to meet the needs of other areas.’ ‘The goal is to provide the best assistance to users and ensure that all people can access municipal services,’ said the council member.
