City Council presents 2024 budget settlement showing a surplus of nearly 38 million euros
The City Council has today presented the settlement of the 2024 budget, revealing a surplus of almost 38 million euros and a Treasury surplus of 17 million euros. The Councilor for Finance, Félix Romero, who reported on the findings at the municipal council meeting, emphasized that the data ‘reflect impeccable and responsible management ensuring the financial health of the corporation.’ Romero highlighted that the reliable technical document was prepared by authorized officials and reviewed by the General Intervention, stating that revenues from own funds ‘have been more than sufficient to cover all municipal expenses, resulting in a net saving of nearly 43 million euros and a positive financing capacity of almost 8 million.’
