City Council launches emergency asphalt plan covering all districts

The City Council has initiated an emergency asphalt plan that will cover all districts and an area of over 43,000 square meters spread across 25 streets. The Works Councillor, Diego López, emphasized that ‘the aim of this action is to improve road safety before summer and address the issues caused by the recent rains.’ He also specified that this initiative ‘involves a phased planning of each area of the municipality to minimize inconvenience’ and stressed that ‘it is a resolute response to the problems detected in numerous roads in the town, especially those where the pavement no longer ensures safe driving conditions.’ López announced that starting from May 12, this intervention will begin in the East district, where improvements will be carried out on streets such as Juan de la Cierva, Conquistador Aguirre, V Centenario, Virgen del Carmen, Juan de la Cosa, Alba, Boquerón, and Alonso Ojeda, ‘which show significant wear.’
