City Council joins World Mental Health Day celebration emphasizing protection in crises

The City Council has joined the celebration of World Mental Health Day, which this year has focused on the need to protect people in emergency situations. The councilor for Social Rights, Isabel Cintado, read an institutional declaration at the City Hall, in an event that also included representatives from the Afesol association, who advocated for their demands in a manifesto. The councilor emphasized ‘the excellent work carried out by the organization in providing support, advice, and specialized care’ and highlighted that ‘millions of citizens worldwide are affected by armed conflicts, natural disasters, or economic crises that have a significant impact on their emotional health, making it necessary to promote specific prevention, intervention, and reconstruction plans to ensure their well-being.’
