Marbella Calls on Central Government for Improvement and Integration of A-7 Sound Barriers
The September ordinary plenary session approved a request to the central government for the completion and improvement of the sound barriers being installed on the A-7 as it passes through Marbella, as well as a conservation and cleaning plan. Mayor Ángeles Muñoz emphasized that the City Council will continue working to address residents’ demands and urged the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility to propose alternatives to enhance the integration of these barriers and reduce their impact on the urban environment. The mayor highlighted that efforts will continue to find real solutions to Marbella’s mobility issues, a town with significant tourism and residential activity, also in relation to the closure of accesses in the Las Chapas area of the A-7.
