Municipality continues to promote undergrounding of power lines in the city

The Municipality continues to promote the undergrounding of overhead power lines in various parts of the city, which will reach more than seven kilometers and eliminate 50 towers in the coming months. The director of Projects and Infrastructures of the Urban Planning department, Ignacio Díaz, announced that they are responding to a demand that goes back decades and moving towards a more organized and sustainable city model. He explained that these interventions affect both high and medium voltage lines that, in many cases, run very close to homes, schools, public squares, or green areas, emphasizing that it is not just about aesthetics, but also about safety and the reclaiming of urban space previously conditioned by these elements.
