City Council to Host Two Cultural Activities Featuring Literature and Visual Arts Tomorrow
The City Council has scheduled two cultural activities for tomorrow, Thursday, February 12, with literature and visual arts taking center stage. At 6:30 p.m. at the Cortijo Miraflores Cultural Center, the exhibition of paintings by MIGUELAT (Miguel Alcalde Tirado) titled ‘Fragments of My Life and Still Lifes’ will be inaugurated. The exhibition, consisting of 18 paintings and 8 unique sculptures, showcases the artist’s chromatic surrealism influenced by cubism and neo-figuration. The display also includes sculptures created from skulls of chamois, mouflon, or wildebeest, recovered from various natural environments and later chromatically treated. These pieces establish a symbolic dialogue between nature, art, life, and color.
