Local Government Supports ‘Bracelets of Hope’ Initiative by AECC in Collaboration with Sports Clubs

The local government has shown its support for the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC) of Marbella in a new edition of the ‘Bracelets of Hope’ initiative, aimed at raising awareness about the disease and the humanization of oncological care. Nearly thirty sports clubs in the city have joined this action. The councilor, Lisandro Vieytes, attended the presentation alongside the local president of the association, Santiago Gómez Villares, emphasizing the importance of promoting such initiatives to raise public awareness and improve the quality of life of cancer patients and their families. Various sports teams will wear around 2,000 green bracelets during upcoming official matches, turning each game into a symbol of support and respect beyond competition. He also stated that ‘we are a compassionate and committed city that always stands up for social causes.’
