Marbella’s PGOM Enters Final Phase of Processing After Obtaining Strategic Environmental Declaration and Favorable Report from the Directorate General of Highways

The Marbella City Council continues to move towards the final approval of the new General Municipal Plan (PGOM), which is now in its final processing phase, after receiving the Strategic Environmental Declaration from the Andalusian Government and the report from the State Directorate General of Highways. The councilor in charge, José Eduardo Díaz, emphasized that both favorable pronouncements ‘represent two of the most relevant milestones of the procedure, as well as a key endorsement of the city’s new urban model, confirming the technical and legal solidity of the document, which is now facing its final steps prior to definitive approval.’ The councilor noted that at this time, ‘only the Coastal report and the ratification of the report from the General Directorate of Urban Planning of the regional institution are pending.’
