Local Government Implements Innovative Satellite Internet Connection System for Emergency Situations

The local government has launched a satellite internet connection system to ensure communications and coordination in any circumstance, especially during critical or emergency situations. The Innovation Councilor, Enrique Rodríguez, unveiled the initiative today alongside the head of the department’s service, José Alonso Ayllón, and the head of Civil Protection, Arturo Arnalich. He emphasized that ‘this new tool provides us with autonomy, allowing us not to depend on fixed or conventional mobile networks and enabling data transmission in areas where it would have been nearly impossible before.’ He also highlighted that ‘Marbella is at the forefront of technological advancements in smart cities and enhances its security and responsiveness to such unforeseen events.’
