Mayor denounces institutional mistreatment by central government towards Marbella in mobility matters

The mayor, Ángeles Muñoz, highlighted today the “institutional mistreatment of our tourist destination” by the central government in terms of mobility and demanded urgent measures such as the liberalization of tolls. She pointed out that Marbella is the only Spanish city with over 150,000 inhabitants without a railway connection. Mayor Muñoz emphasized the unsustainable situation on the highway, which is completely saturated, handling a daily load of 120,000 vehicles, and criticized the lack of vision from the national government in providing sufficient road infrastructure for a sector as internationally renowned as theirs. She also called for at least a discount on the AP-7 toll road.
