72-Year-Old Man Arrested for Arson in San Pedro
The Marbella Local Police have arrested a 72-year-old man as the alleged perpetrator of a deliberately set fire between Santa María and Santa Rita streets in San Pedro Alcántara. The incident took place last Monday around 11:45 a.m. when a patrol unit on surveillance duty in the area was alerted by the 092 Command and Control Room of the Headquarters about a fire starting near the Aldi supermarket at the intersection of both streets. Upon arriving at the scene, the officers found that the flames were affecting about 25 square meters of area, but the quick intervention of the Firefighters in the extinguishing efforts prevented them from spreading or worsening.
